Why Brazil

Brazil embodies passion, there’s a zest for life there that’s unduplicated anywhere else in the world. Brazil is a vibe all its own, evident in its incredible fever for futbol , the rhythmic beats that beckon you to dance anywhere, any time and any place, the sultry simmering beaches and in its culture which gets more complex the deeper into the mysterious Amazon you dare to explore.  It’s so much more than a destination, it’s a feeling….

The What, Where, When

The What, Where, When

Capital: Brasilia

Currency: Brazilian Real (BRL)

Country Code: +55

Do I need a Visa? Visas are required for many countries, best to check Brazilian Consulate for the current requirements for each individual country

How will I charge my devices? Brazil’s electrical current is 110v, though 220v can be commonly found in hotels

How do I get there?  Well, if you’re heading to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) and flying from…
New York: 10 hours
Los Angeles: 13 hours
Toronto: 12  hours
Johannesburg: 8.5 hours
London: 10.5 hours

Geography: Brazil occupies nearly half of the entire continent of South America, and it’s the longest country in the world, spanning 3 time zones and boasting thousands of kilometers of coastline along the Atlantic Ocean where some of the world’s best beaches can be found.

Time Zones: GMT -3

How's the weather? Due to Brazil’s size, the climate varies greatly from north to south though overall it experiences subtropical typical weather. Equatorial Brazil experiences very little change throughout the year with very warm temperatures while hotspots such as Rio and Sao Paulo remain temperate to hot depending on the season.  NB to all of you Northern Hemisphere dwellers, Brazil’s seasons are the opposite- with winter June – August, spring September to November, summer December to February and fall March to May
