mPassport – Paris & London health care iPhone Apps
Falling ill whilst travelling not only puts a damper on your trip, but it can be downright scary. Where to go? Who to turn to? Who to trust? Who’s going to help me explain my condition in some form of passable French??? Relax...we’ve got the hookup when travelling in Paris or London and as you may have guessed, there’s an app for that.

HTH Worldwide, a global health & safety services company has unveiled mPassport® Paris and MPassport® London, the first iPhone apps designed to help travelers find quality health care and navigate health care services in these fabulous locales. It’s a virtual mobile medical passport, a personal concierge that gets you the assistance you need, when you need it right in the palm of your hand.
Download this app and you can:

-Review detailed profiles of carefully selected English-speaking doctors, dentists, hospitals and pharmacies

- Consult a map and request an appointment for an office visit on short notice

-Use iPhone mapping and GPS functionality to find the shortest route to convenient care in Paris and London

- Access the concierge service to request an appointment with a specific doctor or within a medical specialty

- Search translation tools to find the French equivalents for medical supplies, and with built in audio, hear key medical terms and phrases spoken in French

They’ve even got a web portal where subscribers can access these features globally. It’s available now for your iPhone or iTouch, downloaded straight from the app store. Check out http://www.mpassport.com/ for more information and even see a quick demo on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TlCTdJqwYs&feature=player_embedded
Better safe than sorry, we always say…download it today.

NOW BOARDING....
For all of our fellow Explorateurs that spend far too much time at the airport (though we know there is a part of you that secretly likes it), we've got a cool new tool to share with you. #BOARDING is a new Twitter-based app that helps you find other travelers within the airport who perhaps want to share a taxi, have tips about the destination you're traveling to, or may have some good insight on the best shops and food within the terminal. Chances are if they're using it, they travel just as much as you so you're bound to be in good company.

How does it work? Best part- just log on to your Twitter account, tweet #boarding and the 3 letter code of the airport (example #boarding LHR) and you'll get a reply in minutes with links to the other Twitter users nearby.

#boarding plans to soon send around its own list of great tips to airports around the world, discounts at shops and F&B outlets and more to make your airport stay more comfortable.

Want to check out more? Log on to http://www.boarding.fr/ and check out who's where around the world. Enjoy!
